First Impression: Fifth Harmony 7/27

Hello world,

Today is the day that Fifth Harmony ‘s new album got released and I am here to listen to it! I thought it would be fun if I gave my first reaction of the album since I loveeee Fifth Harmony and I can’t wait to listen to it! I wrote down each song, except for Work From Home, Write On Me and The Life, because I already heard them before and I don’t want to “re-react” to them soo yeah. Let’s hop into this post!

That’s My Girl.
OMG! I was so excited for this song when I heard a few snippets but it’s wayyyy better than I expected! It is upbeat, has nice vocals in it and every girl in 5H sings in it! I think I am obsessed with this song! It is so good! I already know this is one of my favourites.

Work From Home
The Life
Write On Me

I Lied
I love the drop beat kinda thing that you hear after Camila sings! Normani ‘s part got me chills and her high note almost made me cry! Dinah slayed her part for real, like how does she do her high notes? I love the chorus as well!

All In My Head (Flex) feat. Fetty Wap
I was so excited for this song as well, because I saw their live perfomance and they sounded and looked amazing and I really couldn’t wait for it! I love this song, it is a summer jam and I’m quite sure this song will go up high in the ranking again.

Squeeze
At first I thought this was going to be a slow song, but guess what it did? There was a drop in the beat again and I think this is such a sweet, cute song. It’s not my favourite I think but it still is amazing and Camila and Dinah singing together sounds sooo good.

Gonna Get Better
They all sound amazing in this song, their vocals are crazy here! In the beginning Ally sounds so good and then Normani and Camila killing their part and of course Lauren and Dinah slaying those high notes! Omg, I love it. I feel like they are going to do a lovely dance to this song.

Scared of Happy
Omy, I didn’t see that drop coming! It’s like, I don’t know, it wants me to start dancing. Lauren’s bridge and Camila’s high note omg, those were my favourite and of course Dinah singing the chorus fabulous!

Not That Kinda Girl feat. Missy Elliot.
I’m usually not a big fan of Missy Elliot because, I don’t really know, I never really like her beats in her song, but wow! This song is so sassy and so good and the rap of Missy is fantastic! I wanna learn and rap like that. And the harmonies in the song are crazy and I love it!

Dope
I wasn’t quite sure what I should expect of this song, so I wasn’t really excited for this one either but I love the part where Lauren sings, and of course she has to swear and say the bad word lol. Nah, it’s fine, I think this is such a sweet love song kinda style and even though it is kind of slow, it is for sure not boring. And Ally singing the bridge: WOW. This song would sound amazing live, I bet!

No Way
I love it! I don’t really know how to describe it but I would say it is a mixture between a ballad and an uptempo song? I loveeee the beat! It would be so cool to do a modern dance to this as well! I get why it didn’t get to their previous album but I’m really happy we got to hear it anyway.

So these were the songs! My favourites are That’s  My Girl, All In My Head and Not That Kinda Girl! Have you heard 7/27? What are your favourite songs of it? I do miss a slow ballad though, but all these uptempo songs are great to dance on! I’m loving the 7/27 era. If you want to listen to the album, I listed a link for Spotify here: 7/27 . The album is really summer-y and happy and upbeat!

Love, Dannielle.

February Music Favourites

Hello world,

It’s almost the last day of February, where are the days? It went by so quick! I love my music so I decided to share my faves of this month again! If you want to read last months favourites, click here.

Dernière Danse – Indila. This is a French song and I don’t actually understand what she is saying but it sounds beautiful. I really like the beat of this song and Indila sings amazing!

Cheap Thrills – Sia. I LOVE SIA. I think she is amazing and has a great voice and from her new album, this is my favourite.

Love On Top – Beyonce. I recently started listening to Beyonce and I am obsessed with her atm. Love On Top is my favourite song of her this month, but I also have been quite obsessed with Formation.

We Don’t Talk Anymore – Charlie Puth feat Selena Gomez. Last month I listened quite a lot to Selena’s album ‘Revival’ and when I heard Charlie Puth had a collab with Selena I was so excited! I love this song!

Youth – Troye Sivan. I have been following Troye Sivan for quite a while now and when I heard this song playing in a store I obviously knew it was Troye Sivan and I noticed it was ‘Youth’. This is definetly my fave song from his album, but the others are real good too.

Bang My Head – Sia & Fetty Wap. Again, Sia. And I have to admit, Fetty Wap is my guilty pleasure, I love to jam out to this song with his kind of voice. This is also such a fun song to dance to!

Fine By Me – Andy Grammar. This is such a cute song, and probably the slowest of all songs I have listed here, but it’s really good. Andy Grammar is known for Good To Be A Live and Honey I’m Good, but I think this song is better than the ones he’s known for.

Work From Home – Fifth Harmony (ft. Ty Dolla Sign). As a Harmonizer, I am obsessed with Fifth Harmony and I couldn’t wait when I heard they had a single coming out. I am constantly listening to it because it has such an amazing beat, rythm and melody. I just want to dance all day to it and I can’t stop listening! I can’t wait for their album 7/27 that is coming out on the 20th of May. Slay me.

I hope you enjoyed this list of my favourite songs this month, and don’t forget to share your favourites in the comments below. LOVE YOU.

Love, Dannielle.
